Blessing and Inauguration of the Pallotti Destitute Home for the Aged

After an ongoing wait of almost four years the Province received the legal permission to stat the Pallotti Destitute Home for the Aged at Kallupatty, Meenachiapuram. Its blessing and inauguration took place on 19 August 2025 at 6.00 p.m. The new home was blessed by Most Rev. Antonysamy, Archbishop of Madurai, and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Savariaradimai SAC, the Provincial Rector.

The Holy Eucharist presided over by the archbishop was joined by the several confreres, priests, religious, and parishioners of Meenachiapuram. The archbishop in his homily appreciated the Pallottines for responding to the need of time and appealed to the congregation to care for their parents in their old age. In the felicitation that followed Fr. Pratheep, the Director, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors and all who contributed to the realization of this noble project. The evening concluded with a fellowship meal shared in joy and fraternity.
