II Ordinary Provincial Assembly – 2025

The Second Ordinary Provincial Assembly of the Our Lady of Good Health Province, Tamil Nadu, with the theme “Becoming the Synodal Community: the Pallottine Way”, was held from January 7-11, 2025, at PILLAR, Madurai. Fr. Maria Alphonse, professor of Theology at Sacred Heart Seminary, poonamallee, Chennai, set the tone of the Assembly with his inspiring talk drawing parallel between our Founder St. Vincent Pallotti and the current Pope Francis. Both had passion for the poor at the periphery. The assembly proper began with an inaugural mass on January 8, at 700. a.m. The three full days of assembly witnessed deliberations on Pallottine life and mission in our province based on the report of the Provincial Rector, the Provincial bursar, Mission secretary and the Working paper. The sessions were ably moderated by Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel SAC of the Nagpur Province. Fr. Jeremiah Murphy, the Vice General, enriched the assembly with his interventions. The assembly formally ended with the celebration of Holy Eucharistic on January 10, at 7.00 p.m., followed by a fellowship meal.
